A NOTE TO STUDENTS
REGARDING PRE-REQUISITES:
Each course is designed to build on the skills of the previous
course, and for that reason we recommend that students have the
pre-requisites. This is especially true for those wishing to complete
the Certificate Program in Conflict Management, or the Certificate
Program in Arbitration. Some students however, may wish only to
take just one or two courses, and for this reason, we have listed
the pre-requisite(s) that are considered the “bare minimum,” and include those that are “recommended.” We appreciate
that many students are senior in their field and may have much training
and experience, however is the responsibility of the student to
ensure they have the necessary AAMS pre-requisite(s) at the time
of registration. Equivalency for prior learning MUST be submitted
to the Education Department (see Course Equivalency Application)
and questions about equivalency or our programs may be directed
to the Education Department by calling (780) 433-4881 or toll-free 1-800-232-7214 or e-mail education@aams.ab.ca.
Students may register right up until the course start
date, however we determine if a course will run or be cancelled 7 days prior, and
so it is imperative that you register by then to ensure you get
the training of your choice.
